This is a beautiful copper Om Mani Prayer Wheel made in a unique barrel design. This prayer wheel has a lotus and double dorjee base and a cylindrical hollow body in which a paper roll full of Om Mani mantras is placed.
Prayer Wheels are a manifestation of the Compassion Buddha’s holy speech. Turning the prayer wheel with bodhichitta motivation while reciting the 6-syllable mantra will allow “one to collect more extensive merit to quickly achieve enlightenment than an arhat who abides for many years in the blissful state of peace for oneself alone.
