This Japa Prayer beads mala is a special one as the Mantra Om Mani has been carved in each and every metal beads. The etching is done very intricately and showcases a very fine and detailed writing in the round beads. It has 108 beads with guru beads attached with a tassel.It can be used to count repetitions in Buddhist practices–prostrations, recitations of mantras, names of the Buddha. Sometimes it is simply a reminder to be aware. The traditional number of beads in a mala is 108. The beads themselves, made from variety of seeds, wood, and semiprecious stones, are worn around the neck or wrapped in coils around the wrist.
