Description
This is a traditional way of making incense in Nepal. A long braid of Nepalese lokta paper is filled with incense powder and twisted to give the final shape of this rope incense.

In Buddhism, incense acts as an offering to Buddhas, or enlightened ones, as well as a symbol for various aspects of Buddhist belief and an aid to positive thoughts and actions.
